Typical Requirements for Builder to Obtain an Occupancy Certificate

To obtain an Occupancy Certificate in Karnataka, builders generally need to complete and submit the following:

Construction Compliance
  • Construction as per approved building plan
  • Compliance with FAR, height limits, and setbacks
  • No unauthorized deviations from approved plans
  • Completion Certificate from architect/engineer
  • Structural Stability Certificate
  • Fire safety systems and clearance
  • Water, sewage, drainage, electricity systems completed

  • Access roads, parking, common areas completed
  • Municipal inspection before issuing OC
